The grip of the heat does not let go and continues to grip Italy: this afternoon the African aniticyclone Minosse will reach its peak bringing temperatures over 35 degrees throughout the Centre-South and in Emilia, over 40 in Sicily, Calabria, Basilicata and Puglia, with peaks of 43 degrees in Ragusa and Syracuse.

Al North, however, some storms will ease the temperatures in Piedmont and Lombardy, while real storms will hit Friuli Venezia Giulia. On Thursday and Friday Minos will loosen his grip above all on the Northeast, remaining, however, always firm in the South, where it will be necessary to wait after the weekend for a drop in temperatures.

According to the ilmeteo.it portal this is the hottest summer in the last fifty years. The three African anticyclones Scipione, Caronte and Minosse have registered unprecedented temperatures in the last month, breaking all the records that belonged to the notorious summer of 2003. Everywhere, in the Centro-South, temperatures are 6 degrees higher than the thirty-year average.
