Hot, Monday and Tuesday the final sting: then we'll be back to breathing with the Breton

It is the sixth heat wave of the summer. For a long time there hadn't been such a hot summer months. And on Monday and Tuesday we will once again witness it. The hot air coming from Africa will be felt above all in the central-southern regions and in Emilia Romagna, where it will be very hot both in the plains and in the mountains. Maximum peaks of 40°C are expected in Catania and Foggia, 39°C in Matera, 38°C in Bari and Palermo. But the Centre-North is no less: in Rome the temperature will reach 37°C, as well as in Perugia, L'Aquila, Bologna, Forlì. The only way to escape the sultry wind is to escape to seaside resorts where temperatures are mitigated by sea breezes.

On the other hand, severe thunderstorms are expected in the Alps, especially in Val d'Aosta, Piedmont, Lombardy and Triveneto. Some phenomena, of an isolated but intense nature, could also cross over to the high plains.

Ma from Wednesday, Italy will finally be able to open its lungs and breathe fresh airto. In fact mid week Breton high pressure arrives, which will bring milder temperatures thanks to the call of slightly cooler northern currents and the confinement of the African anticyclone on the Iberian Peninsula.
