Calcioscommesse, the new fronts of the investigation: the Genoa derby and that Parma tobacconist…

Massimo Alfieri's business (under investigation), to which Gigi Buffon paid checks for over 2010 million euros in 1,5, appears to have an above-average percentage of winnings: 83% – Suspicions are growing, even if the goalkeeper's lawyer makes a block: "Gigi has nothing to do with it" – Investigations on last year's Genoa-Sampdoria derby – Rome: Palazzi starts again from Miccoli.

Calcioscommesse, the new fronts of the investigation: the Genoa derby and that Parma tobacconist…

Yesterday the investigating judge of Cremona Guido Salvini ordered the release and house arrest for the players Stefano Mauri and Omar Milanetto, whose position however remains very serious, even after the interrogations defined by the investigators as "not very convincing". Albinoleffe players Francesco Ruopolo, Kewullay Conteh and Inacio Joelson also appeared before the magistrate, and their arrest, signature and house arrest orders were respectively revoked. The three, unlike Mauri and Milanetto, have chosen the path of collaboration: Ruopolo and Conteh have admitted their faults, while Joelson has also accused the managers of the Bergamo team: “President Camilli knew about match fixes”.

PARMA TOBACCO - Meanwhile, new indiscretions are emerging on the case of the Parma tobacco shop, to which Gigi Buffon appears to have paid checks for over one and a half million euros in 2010. Massimo Alfieri's shop in via Garibaldi continues to attract the attention of the Turin investigators, who ordered a thorough search last week (also at Alfieri's home). According to the latest rumors the winning percentage in the tobacco shop, in the last fourteen months, is around 83 percent. A too high figure, absolutely out of the norm, which does nothing but fuel further suspicions. At the moment only Alfieri is being investigated, while Buffon is not, as his checks refer to a limited period while the owner has suspicions about three years of activity. “And then – the lawyer Marco Corini, who assists the Juventus goalkeeper, points out again – it seems clear to me that using checks is the safest way to be tracked. Gigi Buffon has nothing to do with this story. He has always moved in the sunlight. He gave money to a friend for private purchases. Everything else doesn't concern him."

GENOA DERBY – The hottest case, and new, these days, is the one that revolves around the derby della Lanterna last season, decided by Boselli in the 96th minute with an assist from Milanetto, increasingly in the sights of the Cremona investigators. Yesterday, when granting house arrest to Omar Milanetto, the Gip Guido Salvini said verbatim: "Heavy shadows have fallen over the role of Milanetto and other players in Genoa-Sampdoria, which is not the subject of dispute". For the magistrates of ordinary justice, sports fraud aimed solely at combining the result of a match is of relatively little interest. However, everything assumes another relevance if the "tarot" has been organized to make money by betting on it. But Genoa-Sampdoria on 8 May 2011, a match that effectively condemned the blucerchiati to relegation, he hasn't had any outlier betting streams, not even an interception in which it is mentioned and none of the countless members questioned by the Cremona judges mentioned it. Despite this, the Lombard Public Prosecutor's Office has many doubts and suspicions and to resolve them it has summoned Massimo Leopizzi for the next few days, the ultra boss present in the meeting, following the derby, at the Osteria del Coccio, immortalized together with a member of the association criminal of the "gypsies" and with the rossoblù footballers Domenico Criscito and Beppe Sculli.

SPORTS JUSTICE – Meanwhile, the first sports trial on football betting continues at the Foro Italico: perhaps today the trial phase will end and the prosecutor Palazzi will have to fend off the latest assaults by the defence which aim to undermine the prosecution system and the credibility of the pentiti. But there is a second line to work on and there are the accusations of another repentant, Andrea Masiello, to be verified: from Thursday work resumes on the Bari section of the investigation and the first player summoned by the Federal Prosecutor is Fabrizio Miccoli. The Palermo captain is expected in the offices in via Po in two days time at 15 pm, to the 007 of Palazzi he will have to provide clarifications on the Palermo-Bari match of 8 May 2011, that of the presumed match-fixing. According to Masiello's stories and interceptions, Palermo should have won with an over, but Bari won (2-1) thanks to a goal by Alvarez. But on Thursday Bologna-Bari 0-4, also from 2011, will also be analysed: three rossoblù players, Portanova and Gimenez, plus Gillet, who however was Bari's goalkeeper at the time, will also be heard. ) and Bentivoglio (now in Padua). The latter had already been summoned by Palazzi in recent weeks.

MINISTER SEVERINO - The Minister of Grace and Justice Paola Severino also intervened on the matter: “We are in a moment where we have a great need for purity and legality, even in sport. We have inspired our children to play sports, considering it the purest and most fair form of competition. AND the recent episodes, the rotten apples, those who have not understood what sport is, must not remove them from this world“, the words of the Minister of Justice during the greeting to the athletes of the Penitentiary Police, qualified for London, which was held at the theater of the Rebibbia prison in Rome.
