Transfer market: Milan on Belotti, Inter dreams of Nainggolan

Time for choices. The big Italians have now entered the transfer market, the one in which anything can happen and nothing can be taken for granted until signatures are obtained. The most active of all is certainly Milan: Fassone and Mirabelli are very active and are working hard to deliver an almost complete squad to Montella already for the early July meeting. The official purchases of Musacchio, Kessié and Rodriguez are about to be joined by that of Biglia, arriving from Lazio for 22 million. The midfielder, whose contract expires in 2018, will first have to conclude his commitments with the Argentina national team, after which he will arrive in Milan to undergo the usual medical examinations and bind himself to the Rossoneri colors for the next 3 years with a salary of 3,5 million. Lotito and Mirabelli would have liked to include Keita in the package too (the cost of the operation, in that case, would be 50) but he is a niche because he is more attracted by Juventus: at the moment, in short, the deals are unrelated but it cannot be excluded that the scenarios may change again.

Then there is the question of Conti, Atalanta full-back who Montella likes very much: Milan and the player have reached an agreement, but now we need to find a balance with Percassi, who is firm on the request for 27 million against the 20 offered by Mirabelli. The deal that excites the most, however, apart from the Donnarumma case (solution arriving in the first days of next week), is that relating to the attacker. The hot names are three and all of the highest level: Andrea Belotti, Alvaro Morata and Diego Costa. The first costs a lot (100 million Cairo's request) but earns less than the others, the second is Montella's favorite but is difficult to reach (Mourinho's Manchester United is also on him), the third is low cost as a card (especially after the public break with Chelsea) but has a monstrous salary, as well as having a decidedly more advanced age. The tracks are parallel and all in progress: we will see in the next few days which one will be covered with more conviction. Milan king of the market, at least for the moment.

In fact, Inter will soon also fall on the negotiating tables and then there will be fun. After the trip to Nanjing, Spalletti returned to Milan to start working in earnest (presentation in Appiano on Wednesday 14th) and it's safe to bet that Suning will provide him with an impressive budget, to which the proceeds from the inevitable transfers will be added.

The hottest names concern three Roman players such as Rudiger, Nainggolan and Strootman: the first is the closest (it could close at 30 million plus bonuses), the second has sent out clear signs of availability, the third instead has just renewed his contract until 2022, however, inserting a termination clause (45) which leaves every scenario open. Work in progress also with Nice for left-back Dalbert, who the French would like to sell to 15 against the 10 offered by Inter: the impression is that the two clubs will find themselves halfway, vice versa the Nerazzurri will change objectives. On the other hand, the issue relating to the attacking wingers still needs to be evaluated: should Perisic (Manchester United) leave, the dreams would be Di Maria and James Rodriguez, more realistically, however, the focus will be on young Italians and prospects such as Bernardeschi (it is no coincidence that the renewal with Fiorentina is stalled) or Berardi.

In the face of so many arrivals, there will also have to be transfers at Inter and at the top of the list, in addition to Perisic (who Spalletti likes, however), there are Brozovic (Russian derby between Carrera's Spartak and Mancini's Zenit), Biabiany ( Sparta Prague), Murillo (Spain or England) and Gabigol (Las Palmas on loan).

Also awaited for the moves of Juventus, rightly engaged in a much less frenetic market than the Milanese ones. In fact, the Bianconeri don't have to rebuild everything from scratch but only shore up an already super squad with some important elements, capable of further raising European competitiveness. In addition to Keita's speech which we have already spoken about previously, there is a strong interest in Douglas Costa of Bayern Munich (Marotta has a check ready for 30 million) and goalkeeper Szczesny, known in Italy for his experience at Rome but returned to Arsenal due to the end of the loan. In the Corso Galileo Ferraris plans he will be the one after Buffon, with Neto destined to leave (Naples, Watford or Valencia) and the former Roma player to be the reserve for a year, to then become a starter in the next. Slightly less clear ideas in midfield, where the candidacies of N'Zonzi from Sevilla (40 million), Tolisso from Lyon (40), Emre Can from Liverpool (30) and Matic from Chelsea (40) are being examined: one of these it will arrive but the feeling is that Marotta will choose calmly based on prices and feasibility.

However, Rome and Naples are still at stake, although the former has finally solved the coaching puzzle (Di Francesco) and the latter is thinking of reinforcing the wing department with Suso, moreover on the notebook of the Giallorossi themselves. To date, the second and third teams in the championship are observing Milan and Turin, with the hope that the equation "spend = win" will once again prove to be anything but infallible.
