Boom transfer market, Fifa: 6 billion in 10 months

In the last decade, the football industry has become a real money machine, and the data released on Thursday by Fifa only confirms this. According to the Federation led by Gianni Infantino, the value of players' transfers from January to today stands at over 6 billion dollars, a record figure.

Since the beginning of the year, global transfers are close to 15.300 against 14.400 a year. Their global value is up 26% compared to the first ten months of 2016.

In October, a turnover of 23,3 million euros was recorded, an increase compared to the 2,7 million of the same period last year. The figure is negligible compared to that relating to the first ten months of 2017, but there is an explanation: with the exception of Germany, the transfer market is closed in all the major leagues during October.

And in fact, almost all of October's value is signed by the Bundesliga. In total, the number of transfers stood at 199 players compared to 217 in October 2016.
