Football, Serie A is back: tonight the big match Roma-Napoli

Maradona's presence in the stands is now official (who received a 39 million notice of late payment from the Revenue Agency), for tonight's big match at the Olimpico, where two candidates for the Scudetto take the field for the first big direct clash of the season.

Football, Serie A is back: tonight the big match Roma-Napoli

It is not yet known whether Diego Armando Maradona will be present in the stands (although his sibylline phrases released at yesterday's Gazzetta event would rather suggest his absence), but what is certain is that tonight in the big match at the Olimpico two of the main contenders for the Scudetto take the field, for the first major direct match of the season.

On the contrary, Rome and Naples currently present themselves as the two favourites, or in any case the two teams of the moment, with a Juventus always lurking but perhaps a little less brilliant than in the recent past and even tarnished in the Champions League. The match at the Olimpico will therefore be crucial even if obviously not decisive, appearing just on the eighth day: eighth day to which the team of the emerging French coach Garcia arrives strong with seven wins out of seven, while Napoli did a little worse going to impact at home against Sassuolo.

TRAINING – Just one doubt for Rudi Garcia. Destro is still out while Balzaretti is disqualified: in his place Dodò is ahead of Torosidis to complete the defensive line with Castan, Benatia and Maicon. In midfield Strootman will regularly be paired in the trio with De Rossi and Pjanic while in attack he usually has a trident with Totti central and Florenzi and Gervinho wide.

Rafa Benitez's eleven have yet to be deciphered. Zuniga is unavailable and Armero – who joined his teammates directly in the Roman retreat – is in a second round with Mesto. In central defense Britos should team up with Albiol who is not yet at 100% while the returning Maggio plays on the right. In midfield Inler and Behrami and in attack Higuain should take the field from the first minute, supported by Insigne, Hamsik and Callejon.
