HOW MUCH DOES SERIES COST?

The study focuses on the average cost of subscriptions to pay TV or streaming services to watch Serie A, Serie B and Champions League matches from home. In 2018/2019 to watch Serie A matches it was necessary to shell out 38 euros per month, while for the 2020/2021 season even 41 were needed. 

Opposite trend for Serie B, which instead shows an upward trend. "The fee to follow the competitions was stationary at 8,99 euros per month from the 2018/2019 season, but this year it has jumped to 19,97 euros per month on average", reads the report, which however underlines how, combining Serie A and Serie B, however, a considerable saving is obtained. “Over the years it has become gradually more convenient, going from the 56 euros per month requested in the 2018-2019 season, to 47 the following year, to then drop to 41 euros in 2020/2021. This year the cost of Serie B is already included in the Serie A pay TV packages at a monthly cost of 29,99 euros”, highlights Sos Tariffe.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE AND PACKAGES

This year you need two different season tickets to watch Champions League matches. Despite this, the price to watch all the matches has dropped to 16,99 euros per month compared to 31 euros in 2018/2019.

“The formulas that include Serie A and the Champions League, like single solutions, cost much less today – highlights the study – We have gone from the 79 euros needed to subscribe to the offer during the 2018/2019 season to 72 the following year . Already in 2020/2021 there has been a drastic reduction in costs, which fell to 44 euros per month last year and further reduced to just over 40 euros per month during the current season".
