Football: Inter sinks in Naples (third win in a row, Lavezzi scores again), Ranieri risks

The Nerazzurri's crisis is endless, defeated yesterday in Naples for the seventh time in their last eight games – The Neapolitans dominate the match despite the Champions League struggles and only risk a chance from Pazzini at the end – It's the fourth goal for Lavezzi in the last three games, including Europe – Now Ranieri risks but doesn't give up: "I'm not resigning".

INTER, THE COLLAPSE CONTINUES! NERAZZURRI ALSO DEFEATED IN NAPLES, RANIERI IS REALLY AT RISK. THE TECHNICIAN: "I'M NOT RESIGNING AND IF I WERE MORATTI, I WOULD CONFIRM ME!"

The miracle has not come. In fact, only that could have prevented Inter from losing at San Paolo, against a team that, on the eve, was in much better conditions. It only finished 1-0 in Naples (goal from Lavezzi) and given the Nerazzurri's performance it went very well. Unable to create even one chance for 87 minutes (!), Inter had the equalizer with three minutes to go, but Pazzini badly squandered it. For the rest, only Napoli was seen on the pitch, among other things not in its best version, but it was enough and advanced to get the better of this Inter. The umpteenth defeat (the seventh in the last eight games!) really endangers Claudio Ranieri's bench, which seems to be more shaky than ever.

Certainly the Roman coach will not resign: “Why should I take a step back, I understand that I have many sponsors in this regard, but why should I do it? – He asked provocatively in the press room – You have to ask me a question, but I cannot answer on behalf of a president. I'm not resigning because I believe in these guys, in this team, we fought again today and I'm not leaving". So the decision will be up to only Massimo Moratti, who could solve the mystery today. On the other hand, the president was able to confirm Ranieri after Marseilles, but he preferred to limit himself to a "For now, let's carry on like this, then we'll see..." which can mean anything or everything. Moratti would like to continue with the Roman coach, but he is afraid that the team will no longer follow him, as the disastrous results of the last month would suggest.

Ranieri really tried everything: 4-4-2, 4-3-1-2, 4-2-3-1, 4-3-2-1, the game systems changed by the coach (often in the same match ) don't even count anymore, as well as proven players (in various roles). For the same reason, in Rome they had nicknamed him "Er Minestraro" and yet another recipe was on stage yesterday evening: he started with a 4-3-2-1 with Sneijder and Forlan behind Milito, at the interval ( at 0-0) the coach replaced the Dutchman with Pazzini, but the maneuver didn't change. The doubt is more than legitimate: isn't it all the fault of the players? Waiting to understand Moratti's thinking, we limit ourselves to quoting the coach's, who confirmed himself: “If I were the president I'd say I confirm Ranieri, because he's not to blame and must continue. But I'm not the president." Clearer than that…
