Football, the 2015 scoreboard: the queen is always Juventus

The calendar year that is drawing to a close has been dominated in Italy by the black and white club: champion of Italy, vice-champion of Europe and winner of the Italian Super Cup – Allegri's team is also the one that has scored the most points in Serie A, also counting this season and is in the round of XNUMX of the Champions League – Inter and Napoli do well, Milan disaster.

Football, the 2015 scoreboard: the queen is always Juventus

Juventus 9

An almost perfect year. The "almost" is linked to the Champions League, which faded in the final in Berlin against Barcelona. Had that arrived too, we'd be talking about an extraordinary 2015, the best in black and white history, but even so, there's little to complain about. Scudetto (the 4th in a row), Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana are enough and advance, moreover with the awareness of being able to try to win again. The difficult start was remedied with a very important ride and now the climate has returned to serenity: first place is only 3 points away and the second round of the Champions League represent an objective achieved. In short, a lady promoted with full marks, and now all that is missing is praise.

INTER 6,5

Average grade between 5 in the first half and 8 in the second. A full sufficiency emerges which, obviously, will be able to grow (and quite a lot) if the season continues on the same wavelength. Inter's 2015 is exactly split in two. The first months were very difficult and sanctioned the failure of the first Thohir management, once again outside the Europe that counts. But then Roberto Mancini, helped by an inconspicuous but very active management, turned the team upside down and, consequently, the results arrived. No one would have imagined an Inter earlier than Christmas and judgments can't change just because of the last defeat against Lazio. The nerazzurri are back to competing for the top and this, in itself, is already a victory.

NAPOLI 6,5

Here too, as in the case of Inter, we are facing a very contradictory year. Impossible to promote Napoli seen from January to June: fifth in the league (and therefore outside the Champions League area), eliminated by Dnipro in the Europa League and by Lazio in the Italian Cup. Negative results, which razed the Benitez project that promised a lot and kept very little. But then Sarri arrived and here the scenarios changed drastically. After some initial problems, the former Empoli coach left his mark, transforming the Spaniard's discontinuous team into a very interesting machine, perhaps the best seen so far. No one in Italy plays more beautiful football than Napoli and no one has a stronger striker than Gonzalo Higuain. The only doubts concern the short squad and the lack of habit at the top: De Laurentiis can remedy the first, the second only a great team work, obviously directed by Sarri.

LAZIO 5,5

How to frustrate an extraordinary job in a short time. We had already announced it in the summer: this Lazio team was not convincing. Only one reinforcement (Milinkovic-Savic, the others are not worthy of note) and lots and lots of confusion, starting with the choice of the captain (the locker room wanted Candreva, the club chose Biglia) and the transfer market moves. Someone wanted to leave (Biglia himself) and instead was forced to stay, with the result that performance has dropped significantly: raise your hand who, in hindsight, would not have accepted Manchester United's 70 million for Felipe Anderson... The Champions League with difficulty (and sensationally) conquered in the last championship vanished already in the summer preliminary and the seasonal objectives, in the light of the current 10th place, must be revised downwards. It's a shame, because Lazio had been spectacular in the first few months of the year. However, weddings cannot always be made with dried figs: Pioli and Tare know this well and like them all the fans. Let's hope Lotito understands this too, before the toy breaks for real.

ROME 5

Half a vote more for qualifying for the round of 2016 of the Champions League, even if the way it arrived only confirms the insufficiency. Roma is one of the great disappointments of the calendar year, there's no rain on this. Having started with Scudetto ambitions, Garcia's team even found themselves risking the Champions League zone: if Yanga Mbiwa hadn't "matted" Lazio in that derby at the end of May, perhaps we would tell another story... Things haven't improved in the new season, indeed if possible they are even worse. The signings of Salah and Dzeko (so far the biggest flop in the championship) have not changed the substance: Roma win above all with individuals, not with team organisation. And so it becomes very difficult to compete for trophies, both Italian and non-Italian. Then there remains the sensation of an emptied group, devoid of that personality necessary for the highest stages. Deficit that Garcia must solve, one way or another. Otherwise XNUMX will be the year of the great revolution.

MILAN 4,5

The lowest step of 2015 belongs to Milan. Bad in the first part and bad in the second: in short, it is difficult to do worse than that. The Inzaghi project was wrecked in the sadness of a 10th place, while Mihajlovic flounders in a 6th (which will become 7th if Sassuolo wins the recovery against Turin) anything but satisfactory. The new season was supposed to be one of rebirth, certified by a Berlusconi who has returned to invest. It cannot be denied that the money has been spent, if anything we can discuss how. Here, inevitably, Galliani comes into play, not surprisingly in the crosshairs of organized fans for several months. The current Milan is the son of his politics and this, so far, has proved unsuccessful. It must be said that nothing is definitively lost, but it is certain that the 7 points from third place look a lot like a mountain to climb. A high-level 2016 will be needed, in short, the opposite of what happened in 2015. One of the worst years of the Berlusconi management.
