Caffè Vergnano chooses Coca Cola and focuses on exports

Caffè Vergnano, the made in Italy brand since 1882 managed by the homonymous family of entrepreneurs, has concluded an important agreement with Coca Cola. In fact, Coca Cola HBC (Coca Cola Hellenic bottling company) will distribute it exclusively abroad. Cocoa Cola Hbc is listed in London and Zurich and operates in 28 countries on 3 continents. Not only that, but the US giant will enter the capital of the Italian company with a 30% stake. In any case, the Vergnano family will continue to retain control.

With this partnership, Caffè Vergnano intends to “strengthen the presence of the brand outside Italy – explains the coffee company in a press release – by positioning the brand and its products in the premium segment within the Coca-Cola offer”.

"The signing of this agreement with Coca-Cola represents an important moment in the evolution of Caffè Vergnano: it is the confirmation of how a family business managed in a coherent and conscious way can achieve great objectives without losing its nature and its values". comment Franco and Carlo Vergnano, respectively CEO and president of Caffè Vergnano.

The two partners have decided not to provide the market with further elements on the agreement which is part of a strategic line, however the Italian shareholders explain, who intend to move in line with the corporate values. “We are very pleased to welcome Coca-Cola as our new strategic partner to help develop new growth opportunities and support the journey of our brand beyond our domestic market” is the conclusion of Carolina, Enrico and Pietro Vergnano.
