Buzzi and Cnh, acquisitions in Russia and the USA

Double acquisition in the Italian industrial sector: the deals are completed by Buzzi Unicem and Cnh Industrial respectively in Russia and in the United States. Buzzi Unicem, through its wholly owned subsidiary Dyckerhoff, having obtained the necessary regulatory authorisations, executed the agreement for the purchase from Lafarge of 100% of the share capital of Uralcement, with the simultaneous payment of the price of 104 million euro (enterprise value ), in addition to cash equivalents. Thus reads a note from the company, which recalls how Uralcement is located in the city of Korkino, about 40 kilometers south of Chelyabinsk.

The company acquired is a full-cycle cement plant, based on wet-process technology, with a production capacity of 1,1 million tons of cement per year and substantial reserves of raw materials. With the additional integration of Uralcement, Buzzi Unicem therefore strengthens its position in the Ural region, where it is already present with the current Sukhoy Log cement plant.

CNH Industrial announced today that it has finalized the acquisition of precision sprayer equipment manufacturer Miller-St. Nazianz, Inc. All of Miller's businesses will flow into CNH Industrial and the products will be integrated into the portfolio of New Holland Agriculture, the Company's brand specializing in agricultural machinery. In the four years leading up to the deal, New Holland and Miller had already developed a successful partnership for product manufacturing and distribution in North America.

The acquisition of Miller, a recognized leader in the innovation of self-propelled front boom sprayers, adds to the New Holland product portfolio a range of new equipment intended for commercialization on a global scale. The expansion will allow for further sales growth in this specific market segment by taking advantage of the extensive distribution network of the New Holland brand, which already boasts a presence in 170 countries.

In mid-afternoon in Piazza Affari the title Buzzi Unicem loses 2,5% to 11,74 euros, while Cnh Industrial resists around parity, a 6,29 euro.
