Business Matching, the new digital tool from Cdp to support Italian companies

Team Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) have launched " ", the new digital platform which, thanks to a particular algorithm, will match Italian and foreign companies based on their characteristics and needs.

The goal is to support the export andinternationalization but also to overcome the physical barriers and restrictions imposed by the pandemic, especially on more distant and complex markets. At the same time, foreign companies will access the platform to identify possible business opportunities in Italy.

Over the next year, the service – dedicated in particular to SMEs – will initially be aimed at the main Asian markets and then be extended to other countries, starting from South-East Asia, on the basis of the priorities indicated by the Control Room for Internationalization coordinated by broadcasted on RAI e PUT

The portal, created by CDP in eight languages and aligned with the highest IT security standards, once fully operational, it will allow companies to get to know other companies that the algorithm will propose as potential partners.

Business Matching will enrich the offer of tools and services put in place by CDP, SACE, SIMEST and the ICE Agency to promote agreements between Italian and foreign companies. To support this process, particular attention will be paid by SIMEST to Italian SMEs in promoting the digital platform.

HOW IT WORKS

The Business Matching platform can be accessed both from the CDP and SIMEST websites and through the portal of the MAECI of export and internationalisation.

After registering for free, the Italian company will be asked to indicate its business needs and the profile of the foreign counterparts it wishes to meet. Periodically, as soon as the tool is fully operational, the company will receive the notification of possible matches with the counterparties and the related percentage of affinity based on your profile.

It will also be possible view information on the foreign company and choose whether or not to accept the contact proposed by the algorithm. In the event of a positive outcome, a virtual meeting can be set up in a dedicated space (virtual room) within the platform with the availability of an interpreter.

Business Matching offers registered companies the opportunity to participate in events and webinars to explore topics of interest on countries and markets and makes available - thanks to the work of a editorial team – news, success stories and interviews with experts from the main target sectors.

The first weeks following the launch will be dedicated to enriching the database, accepting registrations and acknowledging business objectives. Subsequently, the tool will be fully operational and able to propose combinations with foreign companies on a constant basis, throughout the year.
