Entente, companies: mission to Serbia with Confindustria

On 25 and 26 November Intesa Sanpaolo, together with Piccola Industria Confindustria, Confindustria Trento and Confindustria Serbia, is organizing a mission to Serbia in which 27 small and medium-sized Italian entrepreneurs will participate. The aim is to help companies to get to know the peculiarities of the Serbian market, facilitate meetings between Italian and Serbian entrepreneurs, illustrate the tools and opportunities to support of internationalisation.

The mission is led by Cinzia La Rosa, Vice President of Small Industry for Internationalization and, for Confindustria Trento, by Ilaria Vescovi, President of the Technical Group for Internationalization of Confindustria Territories.

On the other hand, the exchange between Italy and Serbia should not be underestimated. According to data from the Serbian statistical body, in 2018 trade exceeded 4 billion euros, a figure which confirms Italy as the first country of destination for Serbian goods and the second trading partner of Belgrade. Italian exports to Serbia recorded an increase of 4,7%, bringing Italy's market share of total Serbian foreign trade to 10,4%.

Italy is also the first foreign investor in Serbia with a presence of about 600 companies, a share of invested capital estimated at approximately 3 billion euro. The main sectors of activity include: automotive; banking; insurance; textile; footwear; agricultural.
