Good School, Renzi: "No more obstructionism or let's put trust"

Matteo Renzi returns to Buona Scuola and sends a clear message to the oppositions (internal and external to the Democratic Party): stop the obstructionism of the 3 thousand amendments, otherwise the government will raise the question of trust on a maxi-amendment to the bill. The goal is dismiss the text in Palazzo Madama within the next week and in the Chamber (in third reading) the following week, to avoid postponing hiring for a year. If the other groups do not withdraw their modification proposals, the maxi-amendment on which the Executive will place its trust will still contain some requests from minorities.

The Premier gathered all the members of the Democratic Party who are involved in school reform at Palazzo Chigi this morning: the head of Education, Stefania Giannini, the Minister of Reforms Maria Elena Boschi, the undersecretary Davide Faraone, the group leaders Ettore Rosato and Luigi Zanda, the head of the School Francesca Puglisi speaker on the Ddl at Palazzo Madama, the president of the Instructions commission of the Senate Andrea Marcucci and all the members of the Culture commissions of the Chamber and Senate.

“There is the intention to approve the provision on the school as quickly as possible – said Rosato – but at the same time we ask the opposition to collaborate because with 3 amendments the reform cannot be approved, you can't make assumptions, and if you keep going like this it's just a way to slow down times. There will be work to improve the text in the Senate, to do everything in the best possible way, also asking for the collaboration of the opposition because there is a common interest in hiring”.

La Senator Grillina Michela Montevecchi however, he made it known that his party will maintain the amendments presented in the Senate Education Committee because they are "all merit proposals".
