Bundesbank: no to the seizure, requested by the Siena prosecutors, of 1,8 billion from Nomura. Need rogatory.

The Bundesbank's decision would have been taken because the operation requested by the Siena public prosecutors cannot be carried out "under German law". The magistrates could then proceed with an international rogatory letter

The Bundesbank will not arrange for the seizure of 1,8 billion euros from Banca Nomura, as requested by the Siena prosecutors. This was announced by the Asca agency. The prosecutor is awaiting an official communication.

The magistrates' request was made last Tuesday and envisaged intervening with a method never used in Europe: the blocking of flows on the "Target2" circuit. According to Asca, the Bundesbank's decision was taken because the operation requested by the Siena public prosecutors cannot be carried out "under German law". The magistrates could then proceed with an international rogatory letter.
