As expected in recent days, the issuance of the BTP Italia has met with great success among retail investors. Funding for inflation-linked government bonds started to grow again. On the first day of placement, the eleventh tranche of the BTP maturing in May 2023 met with the favor of savers who, through the MOT of Borsa Italiana, continue to place orders.
The issue, which opened on the market at 9 am, raised almost 16.30 billion at 1,5 pm for around 30 contracts ordered. On the first day, the tenth issue had collected around 1,2 billion in the whole day, therefore, this issue is performing better on average than the previous one.
Recall that, based on the instructions provided by the MEF, communication of any early closure on the second day of placement (May 16) will be given at the end of the first day (May 15) or by 13 pm on the same second day. In the event of early closure on the third day (May 17), this will take place no earlier than 14 pm and the relative communication will be made at the end of the previous day (May 16).
