The new issue of BTP Italy goes on file with an unexpected record. Subscriptions reached a total of 22,27 billion euro, of which 16,84 yesterday and 5,43 up to 14 pm today, with the placement closing earlier than expected.
The amount beat the previous record for the placement of a BTP Italia which was 18 billion, raised in the four offer days for BTPI October 2016.
According to Andrea Masciovecchio of Assiom Forex, “these results, even if partial, appear even more surprising if we take into consideration the introduction of the maximum limit for a single order of 500 thousand euros”, in addition to the fact that the minimum coupon of 2.15%, “is lower than the four previous issues”.
