Brexit the turning point is near: May and Corbyn towards the agreement

It may be close the much-needed breakthrough on Brexit. On the day in which the British government faces yet another internal crisis due to the "Huawei" case which led to the dismissal of the defense minister, Williamson, accused of the leak of news on 5G, Bloomberg reveals an important news on the ongoing negotiations between Downing Street and the opposition on Brexit.

According to the New York agency, the long-awaited turning point could be close. “Theresa May and her political rival Jeremy Corbyn signal that they could be close to a Brexit deal after a month of talks”, writes today, May 2, Bloomberg, citing sources from both the British Government and the Labor Party. After months of contrasts that have led to a distance that seemed to be abysmal, we finally talk about a "compromise plan" which could be signed in the coming days.

Bloomberg it also reports that May would like to close the negotiations within the week after a series of meetings described as "serious and constructive". Between 7 and 8 May the parties should meet again in order to find a definitive agreement that he manages to dissolve the chaos on Brexit and above all to obtain a majority in Parliament afterwards the resounding failures (three) received from the agreement signed by the Premier with the European Union.

We recall that last April 10 the EU Council has granted the United Kingdom an extension flexible until October 31st. If London fails to reach an agreement by that date, the hard Brexit specter will become a reality. If, on the other hand, the green light arrives before the deadline, Brexit will automatically start from the first day of the month following the vote in the British Parliament. In this context, the United Kingdom will participate in the European elections scheduled for 26 May.
