Brembo doubles in Poland

The Bergamo-based luxury brake company today inaugurated the new production center in its Dabrowa Gornicza plant, costing over 100 million euros. Brembo is ready to supply high-level braking systems to German automotive giants, such as Mercedes and Porsche.

Brembo doubles in Poland

Like Fiat, the brake supplier to Porsche and Ferrari is also betting on Poland. The Bombassei Group has doubled its plant in Dabrowa Gornicza, near Katowice, to "strengthen our presence in a country that is increasingly becoming the geographical center of production in the European automotive industry". But, unlike "others, we have not closed plants in Italy to move elsewhere", wanted to underline the president of the Group, Alberto Bombassei. “Maintaining our factories in Italy is one of our pillars,” he added.

The investment of over 100 million euros was used to design a system for integrating all the production phases of the value chain. The new site occupies 90 square meters and will offer 1.200 jobs and, with its 39 production lines and two foundries, will double production capacity. Brembo already has another production site in Poland, opened in 1995 and which has around 400 employees. In the country, the Group serves a large number of highly relevant customers: from Audi to BMW, Daimler, Fiat, Ford, Land Rover, PSA, Volvo, Iveco, and Schmitz Cargo Bull.

The Bergamo-based company seems to be doing just fine in Central-Eastern Europe and is planning to expand into the Czech Republic as well. “In 5/6 months we will also be inaugurating a new site in the Czech Republic”, declared the president.

The Brembo group operates today in 15 countries on 3 continents, with 35 factories and commercial sites, relying on the collaboration of over 6 people.

The stock gains 15.30% around 2,72 pm
