Brembo: two-digit numbers in all sectors and countries, profit +32,6%

Good news from the half-year report of the Bombassei company. Revenues grew by 19% to €632,7 million. Germany remains the reference market accounting for 21% of sales. Good performances in emerging countries: India saw a 36% increase in turnover, China 14,2% and Brazil 16,7%.

Brembo puts the turbo into double-digit accounts in all the main indicators of the accounts for the first six months of 2011 thanks to the drive of all sectors and towed by Germany: turnover grows by 19% to 632,7 million euros, the operating margin gross by 19,4 percent to 81,1 million and the net operating margin up by 34,7 percent to 42,9 million euro is even better. The Bombassei group thus archives a profit of 24,7 million, 32,6% more than the same period in 2010.

The results leverage a well-distributed growth across sectors and geographic areas.
Applications for passenger cars improve by 15,6%, those for commercial vehicles by 31,5% and by 22,5% for motorcycles. The racing and passive safety sectors also did well with increases of 29% and 20% respectively.
Germany remains the main market with 21,6% of sales and an increase of 19,7%. However, Italy also grew by 26,6%, the United Kingdom by 22,8% and France by 39,7%. The Nafta area (Mexico, United States and Canada), the Group's third reference market after Italy, with an incidence on total turnover for the period of 18,1%, shows growth of 8,1%. Emerging markets are also highlighted, recording significant increases in turnover: +36% India, +14,2% China, +16,7% Brazil. Japan grows by 23,5%.

After productive investments and the payment of dividends last May, debt rose by 30 million euros compared to 2010 June 12,6 to 281,4 million euros. In the light of the orders in the portfolio, the group expects a positive trend in the growth of turnover evenly distributed in the various business areas.

On the Stock Exchange, the share rose by approximately 2% to 9,795 euros per share.
