Brembo closes the year with a 10,7% increase in revenues

A beautiful day for the owners of Brembo shares. The board of directors of the leading company in the design and production of braking systems (supplier, among others, of Ferrari) met today and, after examining and approving the group's results for the financial year which ended on 31 December 2012, proposed the distribution of a dividend of 0,4 euros per share. An increase of 33,3% compared to 2011.

The growth in dividends is justified by the marked improvement in the group's indicators compared to the previous year. In fact, Brembo ended 2012 with a net profit of 77,8 million (recording an 81% increase over the previous year). Revenues grew by 10,7% (1,38 billion) and the operating result reached 82,8 million. Furthermore, despite the fact that 135,6 million were invested during the year for the completion of some new industrial plants in China, Poland and the Czech Republic, the net financial debt remained substantially stable (320,7 million). Brembo has continued to record a global increase in turnover and profitability - declared the president of the group Alberto Bombassei - thanks to the ability to innovate and to manage productions located all over the world despite the crisis having severely penalized the car market in Italy and Southern Europe. The balanced growth on an international scale and the order portfolio - continued Bombassei - allow us to be optimistic also for the results of the first part of the year”.
