Brembo +10,9% of profits in the first 9 months

The Bombassei group's net result (30,7 million euro) and turnover (945 million) increased from January to September 2011. Debt grew due to the huge investments in start-ups. The best numbers in China, India and in the NAFTA area.

Brembo +10,9% of profits in the first 9 months

Profits are growing for the Bergamo-based luxury brake company. The Net income of the first nine months of 2011 is increased of the 10,9% to 30,7 million euros. Also on the rise turnover by Brembo grew by 18,1% to 945 million. Following major investments (in the Czech Republic) and the increase in start-up costs (acquired Brembo Argentina Sa for €3,3 million) sustained in this second part of the year, thedebt at 326 million euros, compared to 273,6 million in September 2010.

In third quarter 2011, profit decreased by 34,1% compared to the same period last year, to 5,9 million euros, while revenues increased by 16,1% to 312,3 million.

Slight growth in Italy in the third quarter. Our country represents 16,4% of turnover and its share increased by 1,9%. On the other hand, excellent results inNaphtha area (North America, Canada and Mexico), the group's second reference market, which recorded a +13,2%. On the other hand, the increase in the market was more contained Brazilian, +3,6%. In China and India Brembo continues to sparkle having grown, again in the third quarter, by 29,4% and 22,9% respectively. Conversely, the Japanese market contracted (-3,6%), which is still suffering the consequences of last March's Tsunami.
