Bpm, the position taken by the unions: "Neither with Arpe nor with Bonomi"

“We are neither with Matteo Arpe nor with Andrea Bonomi. We are with the workers and with the Bank of Italy“. This is what the general secretary of Fisac-Cgil Agostino Megale said during a press meeting convened on the Bpm.

According to Agostino Megale, the list presented with the support of Fabi and Fiba-Cisl for the new supervisory board of Popolare Milano "is a political and cultural error. Not being 'gattopardeschi' means not declaring yourself in line with the Bank of Italy and then doing the opposite. This list has indicated in the former managing director of Capitalia Matteo Arpe the future managing director of Bpm”.

“The man of the Lord is not enough – commented the secretary general of Fisac-Cgil – that comes and changes things. We need a real internal change, starting with governance. Our subscribers – concluded Megale – will probably focus on support the 'Friends' list. To say that we are neither with Arpe nor with Bonomi means taking a clear position: we don't lend ourselves to media opposition".
