Bpm: Giarda list coming soon, work on the program

Work is still underway to define the program and the list of names that Piero Giarda will present at the meeting for the renewal of the Supervisory Board of Banca Popolare di Milano, which will be held on 21 December. By today, or at the latest tomorrow, the former government minister Monti, who in the last few hours has intensified his contacts with the unions and associations, to obtain a broader consensus, should dissolve the last reservations.

Giarda, a possible leader of the formation that should have the unitary support of the unions, is also allegedly examining the statute of the Milanese bank, to evaluate any changes. The list will focus on an "electoral programme", in defense of the cooperative nature of BPM.

Another hot topic, the composition of the management board, will be addressed later. Among the names circulating for the role of director, those of Giuseppe Castagna and Carlo Salvatori stand out, but, beyond the rumors, the knot to be solved remains that of the presidency of the CDG, so Giarda's list will need an agreement with the shareholders of capital.

Meanwhile, in the morning the Bpm share advanced by 0,59% on the Stock Exchange, realizing one of the best rises of an Italian list that travels in slightly negative territory.
