Bpm, Giarda towards the Supervisory Board

The national secretariats of the banking unions are working to finalize a single list of candidates for the supervisory board of the Banca Popolare di Milano. Among the names in pole position for the presidential candidacy is that of Dino Piero Giarda.

The goal, according to what is learned, would be the creation of an authoritative and independent CDS, which dialogues with the capital shareholders for the definition of the future management board. In this sense, a comparison with the current chairman of the management board, Andrea Bonomi, is deemed possible, while the list would in fact be opposed to the second shareholder, Raffaele Mincione.

Even in the event of a dialogue with Bonomi, however, it is probable that the unions will ask the number one of Investindustrial for a personal step back from the CDG, aiming for a board with a high presence of managers.

Meanwhile, after yesterday's collapse (-3,5%), today in mid-morning the BPM stock on the Stock Exchange recovers 0,3%.
