La People's Bank of Emilia Romagna has decided to incorporate the subsidiary banks based in Italy by 2015. In a note, the Modena-based group informs that "this process integrates what has already been envisaged and implemented in the context of the 2012-2014 business plan and lays the foundations for outlining the priority projects of the next plan”. Bper recalls that the incorporations into the parent company of Meliorbanca, Banca Popolare di Lanciano and Sulmona, Cassa di Risparmio della Provincia dell'Aquila and Banca Popolare di Aprilia have already been successfully completed.

“The project – says Luigi Odorici, Bper's CEO – aims to make guidance, supervision and control activities within the group more effective and to achieve significant synergies, expanding the services offered to customers. Maximum consideration will be given to the personnel of the merged banks for the purpose of adequate valuation. Furthermore, attention to the needs of the communities served will be ensured through the establishment of suitable delocalized offices, territorial managements, and territorial committees with the task of developing interventions in support of the economy and local communities, similarly to what has already occurred with success in previous experiences of incorporation”.
