Bper and Bei: 50 million for SME energy efficiency

Bper and EIB (European Investment Bank) are making 50 million available for energy efficiency projects that large, medium and small businesses intend to implement to reduce costs. The plafond is the result of the agreement reached by the two credit institutions with the placet and, for the first time, the guarantees of the European Commission which aims at a 30% improvement in energy efficiency by 2030 for the member countries. And which, for this reason, is ready to make 6 million available to cover the risk of the operations that will obtain the support of Bper.

The agreement aims at an ambitious goal: to generate over 1 billion in additional investments in the efficiency sector with a consequent increase in jobs on a local basis. «Environmental sustainability is part of our philosophy and our attention
to the social aspects», explains Alessandro Vandelli, CEO of Bper, «but the theme is also becoming part of the assets of companies: it is a decisive factor for growth».

The theme of energy efficiency and the new businesses and scenarios that this sector opens up for utilities is dedicated to theOrange Book  presented in Rome.
