STOCK EXCHANGES LATEST NEWS: the rally continues. In Piazza Affari they snatch Tim and Mps, but the Oscar goes to Saes Getters

China restarts the engines. The financial markets, despite the signs of a recession (see i Goldman Sachs cuts) they engage fifth gear. Optimism is supported by the stability of European industrial activity, confirmed this morning by the improvement in German production, and the prospect of a slowdown in pressure on prices. Europe posted its best performance in nine months last week: the trend continues today with the exception of Madrid and London. It also improves (but not too much) investor morale.

Piazza Affari rises by 0,55% over 25.2300 in line with Frankfurt. There are several bullish ideas in the Italian list. First, it takes off Telecom Italy + 4,67 just under 0,25 euros. The title runs pending the decisions that will be taken to bring NetCo, the company that controls the network and Sparkle, under the state hat. Since December 16, the shares have recorded an almost continuous rise, so as to boast an overall gain of 19,5%. The Macquarie infrastructure fund, which is a shareholder of Cassa depositi e prestiti in Open Fiber, is in favor of the government's plan for the creation of a national telecommunications network and is working on the project with interested parties.

Positive day for the Exor team. Engage the turbo Ferrari +2,9% after Citi raised its recommendation to "Neutral" from "Sell". salt Iveco +2.6%, engaged in talks for the employment contract in the USA. Go ahead stellantis +0,8%. The company announced an agreement with Element 25 to supply Stellantis with high-purity battery-grade manganese sulfate monohydrate for use in electric vehicle (EV) battery packs. The five-year agreement provides for shipments to begin in 2026, a total volume of 45 kilotons and options to extend the supply term and volumes.  

Finally Juventus +0,38%. Il Sole 24 Ore hypothesizes a spin-off of Andrea Agnelli's share in Exor (just over 11%).

Vola Monte Paschi Bank +10% to 2,196 euros after multiple suspensions. CEO Luigi Lovaglio argued that the process of consolidating the sector will necessarily have to involve the Sienese bank. The performance of the other stocks was calmer: Unicredit +0,8%m The agreement was flat. Bper advances by about 1%.

Finally, the Guinness World Record hit nezzo scored by Saes Getters +35% after the sale of the Nitinol business and, in particular, of the US subsidiaries Memry Corporation and Saes Smart Materials to the US company Resonetics for a price of 900 million dollars.

Stock exchanges latest news: Jefferies promotes Stm

The picture is completed by the advance of Stm +1.65% on which Jefferies Financial Group confirmed the target of 24 euros. Oil companies are running: Saras +3,2% on the wave of the increase in refining margins. 

Erg loses -2,2% and Generali -1,5% on Morgan Stanley cuts the rating to Underweight. Enel -1,1%.

The BTP is up 4,27%, +7 basis points. Bund at 2,24%, +4 basis points. Spread at 201 points.

Euro up 0,3% to 1,067, roughly on May levels.

Futures signal that risk appetite should also remain high on Wall Street. 

The dollar weakens against the euro, in anticipation of an imminent pause in rate hikes in the United States. Some comments on the subject could arrive tomorrow morning from Jerome Powell, away in Stockholm.
