BAGS: BUSINESS PLACE AND THE MAJOR EUROPEAN PRICE LISTS ARE STILL IN THE RED

After the first black semester of 2022, the wind is changing on the Stock Exchanges which are beginning to hope that the peak of inflation, especially in America, has now been reached and that the monetary policy of the central banks could become more gentle and in any case such as to avert the recession or at least to mitigate it.

The fact remains that, despite the recovery in July and the first days of August, many of the main Stock Exchanges continue to navigate in negative territory. Since the beginning of the year the Eurostoxx 50 remains down by 12,29% while Business Square, despite the signs of a revival in recent times, still loses 16%, i.e. more than the other main stock exchanges in the euro area, considering that the Dax of Frankfurt is down by 13,15%, the Cac 40 of Paris loses 8,63 .3,60% and Madrid is at -XNUMX.

STOCK EXCHANGES: IN AMERICA THE NASDAQ SHOWS SIGNS OF AWAKENING BUT IT'S STILL IN THE DEEP RED

The American stock exchanges are still in the red and the worst performer since the beginning of the year remains the high tech circuit Nasdaq, which lost 17,6% while the Dow Jones (-7,64%) and the S&P 500 did a little better, registering a – 10,97%. The Bric, the emerging markets, are also bad, since the beginning of the year they have accumulated a global loss of 18,68%.

This is the snapshot of the stock exchanges from the beginning of 2022 to August XNUMX, but the second half of the year could hold surprises, which will mainly depend on rates, company profits and the expectations on which the war and the pandemic have weighed heavily in recent months .
