European stock markets start the week with a rebound. After an uncertain start, early in the afternoon Business Square travels positive by 1,2%. Along the same lines Frankfurt (+ 1,3%) and Paris (+1,4%). Outside the Eurozone, Zurich +1% and London + 1,3%.

The debt market is more in difficulty, where it is BTP-Bund spread it touched 232 basis points at the beginning, to then drop to 227, from the 223 points scored at the end of last Friday. Salt also the yield of the ten-year BTP, indicated at 3,45% at the start, from 3,36% on the eve.

What are the markets waiting for?

There is tension on the bond side waiting for Mario Draghi to clarify in Parliament on Wednesday whether or not he intends to stay at Palazzo Chigi.

At the European level, investors' attention is also catalysed by ECB decisions, which on Thursday will pass the first interest rate hike since 2011 and lift the veil on the new anti-spread shield. In detail, in terms of the cost of money, the market expects an increase of 25 basis points on the reference rate (from 0% to 0,25%), on that of deposits (from -0,50% to -0,25. 0,25%) and on that of loans (from 0,50% to XNUMX%).

Eyes also on American quarterly: the numbers of some large banks are expected (starting with Goldman Sachs and Bank of America), but also of Tesla and Netflix.

The securities in sight on the Ftse Mib

As regards the individual securities of the Ftse Mib, the main list is driven mainly by banks and oil companies: Tenaris + 4,02% Intesa Sanpaolo + 3,86% B for Bank + 3,79% Bpm bank + 3,41%. Eni + 2,6%.

Up too Iveco Group (+ 2,6%) and stellantis (+2,69%), which has reached an agreement with Dongfeng: in the event of the sale of its shares, the Chinese shareholder will first offer them to the automotive group, which will be able to decide whether to buy or not. Furthermore, this morning Stellantis announced the end of the joint venture in China with Gac for the production of Jeeps.

Prysmian +2,1%: the company was awarded two orders worth approximately 250 million euros awarded by Red Eléctrica, the transmission system manager of the Spanish electricity grid.

On the foreign exchange market, theeuro changes hands at 1,0134 dollars (from 1,0091 on Friday at the close) and 140,098 yen (from 139,791), while the exchange rate dollar/yen it stands at 138,242 (138,535).

Commodity

On the commodity side, the price of Petroleum is on the rise: the contract for delivery in September on Brent gains 2,66%, to 103,85 dollars a barrel, while that on the WTI with expiry in August rises by 2,51%, to 100,04 dollars.

The price of gas in Amsterdam it rises by 3%, to 164,5 euros per megawatt hour.
