Stock exchanges almost flat and then turned negative, at the start of a new short week, dedicated more to balance sheets than to new initiatives.

 In Milan, the FtseMib index falls by 0,2%, the Paris and Frankfurt indices by 0,4% and 0,1%. The City of London is closed for public holidays.

The euro/dollar exchange rate moved little at 1,098, from 1,096 at the previous close. 

On the government bond market, the 10-year BTP is traded at a yield of 1,62%, substantially unchanged. 

Crude oil prices fell towards $37 a barrel, close to an 71-year low, weighed down by concerns about overproduction. Derivatives on US crude oil are trading above Brent prices: at midday, Brent futures dropped 37,18 cents to XNUMX dollars a barrel.

 In Piazza Affari it stands out MontePaschi +2%, after the announcement that the bank has sold a portfolio of non-performing loans worth 1 billion euro. 

Among the other banks, they retreat Unicredit -0,4% and Understanding -0,9%. Well Pop.Milan + 1,5%. 

Generali drops by 0,4%. The market does not react to the news that in 2015 the company cut costs above the target established in the business plan. UnipolSai salt of 0,5%.

Among the industrialists it rises only Fiat Chrysler + 0,4% pending the split of Ferrari shares. 

Finmeccanica, which will cease to be the holding company on January 0,2, drops by XNUMX%, StM -1,1% Prysmian -0,6%.
