Stock markets on the rise, Atlantia on the rally

The trading day begins under the banner of Atlantia. According to rumors reported by Bloomberg, it would be close by now the agreement on motorways between the Benetton holding company and Cdp. The news triggered a shower of purchases on the stock, which – after having struggled to enter trading – was suspended in a volatility auction with an 8% increase about an hour after the opening.

Meanwhile, after yet another record-breaking session on Wall Street, the European Stock Exchanges are also starting the session in positive territory. Business Square salt by 1,2%. Along the same lines Frankfurt + 1,4% Paris + 1,3% Madrid +0,33% and London + 1,41%.

The markets look with confidence at the possibility of new aid arriving in the United States, after US Secretary of State Steven Mnuchin stressed on Tuesday that the economy urgently needed fiscal aid and said he was ready to meet with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi at any time to unblock the fiscal aid package.

We come to Piazza Affari. Apart from Atlantia, the best titles in the Ftse Mib are those of Interpump (+ 4,41%), Moncler (+ 4,37%) and Amplifon (+2,92%). Well all the industrial sector, with Cnh Industrial which increases by 2,94%, while following the positive series of tech cons St, at +2%. At the end of the list we find instead General Bank (-1,59%), Diasorin (-1,38%), Bpm bank (-0,71%) And B for Bank (-0,67%).

On the currency front, euro down against the dollar to 1,190 after yesterday the single currency reached a peak above 1,20 for the first time since May 2018, at 1,2012 (it was at 1,1951 at the end). One euro is also worth 126,19 yen (from 126,64), while the dollar/yen ratio is 106,02 (from 105,96).

The weakness of the dollar pushes up the price of Petroleum: October WTI futures climb 0,89% to $43,14 a barrel, while November Brent delivery gains 0,93% to $45,96.

Lo BTP-Bund spread travels slightly down, at 149 basis points, two less than at the end of Tuesday.

Gold down 0,4%, to 1962.06 dollars an ounce.
