Bags down, Eni and oil companies go up

European stock markets retreat after the Saudi attack in Yemen: Milan and Frankfurt sink, while Paris and London limit the damage – Stocks linked to oil, such as Eni, Tenaris and Saipem, go against the trend.

Bags down, Eni and oil companies go up

Very weak opening for i European lists, which retreated at the start of the session, in the wake of the negative performance of Wall Street. The worst price list, just over an hour after opening, is the Ftse Eb, which lost more than 1%, as did Frankfurt, while Paris (-0,59%) and London (-0,26) limited the losses.

Among the heaviest titles, in Milan, we report Azimuth, Salvatore Ferragamo e Buzzi Unicem (which record losses of more than 3%) and Mediobanca and Mediolanum, just below 3%. Few stocks against the trend: they are almost exclusively oil-related stocks that advance thanks to the leap forward recorded by crude oil. The only three FtseMib stocks to post more than 1% gains at the moment are Saipem, Eni e Tenaris.
