The European stock exchanges are starting to close the week preceding August on a positive note. In the middle of the day, the main international price lists are on the rise, with one exception: Amsterdam, which on the day of debut of Exor (+1,3%) on the Dutch Stock Exchange marks a drop of 0,3%.

On the front inflation, consumer prices in Spain in July decreased by 0,3% compared to June and increased by 10,8% compared to the previous year. In France, inflation accelerated in July, reaching 6,1% on an annual basis. Lastly, the second quarter GDP data was published in the United Kingdom, down by 0,1% on a quarterly basis.

Piazza Affari: the best and worst stocks 

In Milan, the pink jersey is Telecom Italia which marks an increase of 4,81%, after also entering the volatility auction. The quotations benefit from the rumors about a plan to nationalize the company which would be part of the electoral program of the Brothers of Italy. According to what Bloomberg reported, in fact, the goal of the party led by Giorgia Meloni would be to obtain "digital sovereignty", maintaining public control over the telecommunications network. The plan would involve an acquisition of Tim by CDP, followed by the sale of around 30 million fixed and mobile customers to competitors for around 13 billion, as well as the subsidiary Tim Brasil for 4 billion. In this way the State would maintain control of the network, while at the same time halving the company's debt.

On the shields too nexi (+4,51%) thanks to the rumors reported by the Reuters agency, according to which some funds would be ready to acquire and delist the company following the recent decline in valuations across the sector.

Positive banks with Bpm bank (+2,39%) highlighted later the entry of JP Morgan. Up too Unicredit (+ 1,17%), Mediobanca (+ 0,56%), Intesa Sanpaolo (+0,54%). Among the best titles of the Ftse Mib there is Tenaris (+ 1,18%).

The worst performances of the day are instead those of Prysmian (-2,4%), Amplifon (-1,79%), Diasorin (-1,28%) And stm (-1,27%).

Stable on slight upside, uncertain oil

On the bond it spread between the Italian 207-year BTP and its German counterpart it stands at 1,03 basis points, up 205% compared to the 3,0638 at Friday's closing. The yield of the ten-year BTP also rose, reaching 3,02% in the middle of the day from XNUMX on the eve. 

Among the raw materials, after a few hours of red, i Brent prices they go up again: in October the contract grew by 0,3% to 99,9 dollars. OPEC cut its 2022 global oil demand growth forecast for the third time since April due to the economic impact of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and high inflation. The price of natural gas in Amsterdam is stable: the September contract is unchanged at 208 euros per megawatt hour.
