Stock exchanges: Asia ok after the Dow Jones record

In the currency field, the euro is not much changed (1,353 against the dollar) while the yen has regained something, at 101,45 – Gold has attacked the 1300 level again and marks 1305 $/ounce – Oil gains one point, at 101.45 $/be narrows the differential with Brent (107,15).

Stock exchanges: Asia ok after the Dow Jones record

Yesterday evening the Dow Jones recorded yet another record, both for the closing and for the intraday and this morning Asia has responded, if not enthusiastically, at least maintaining the positive trend of recent days. In the early Japanese afternoon, the Nikkei rose by 0,2% and the MSCI Asia Pacific regional index by 0,1%. 

Janet Yellen doesn't seem concerned about the so-called equity bubble and said stocks, apart from some sectors such as social media and biotech, are not misaligned with historical norms. Indeed, prices are not out of line with profits, which continue to be high.

In the currency field, the euro did not change much (1,353 against the dollar) while the yen regained something, to 101,45. The yellow metal attacked 1300 again and reached 1305 $/ounce. Oil gains one point, to 101.45 $/b and narrows the differential with Brent (107,15). Equity futures on Wall Street and London were slightly negative.
