BAGS – Asia with two faces: good Tokyo, bad Shanghai and Shenzhen

A day with two faces on the Asian markets, with the Chinese stock exchanges closing negatively while the other markets finished trading on the upside. In the wake of the optimism registered on Wall Street with the hypotheses that the Fed may postpone raising interest rates, Tokyo Stock Exchange closed trading with a significant up 1,43%. The Nikkei index particularly benefited from the good performance of oil and financial stocks.

In Japan, confidence in the USA prevailed, overshadowing the lackluster macroeconomic data on exports, with the month of August registering a rise of 3,1%, decidedly lower than the +7,6% of the month of July.

Positive closures also for stock exchanges Taiwan (+ 1,35%), Alone (+ 0,05%) and Sidney (+ 0,9%). Hong Kong it lost 0,29%, while the two Chinese stock exchanges of Shanghai and Shenzhen closed with two heavy losses. The main Chinese stock exchange, that of Shanghai, after a comforting start, suddenly reversed course to close with a 2,1% decrease. The Shenzhen Stock Exchange also closed sharply lower, closing the session with -1,52%.

Shy start to the day in Europe, with the Milan Stock Exchange which at 10 am loses 0,2%. Things are better on the other main markets of the Old Continent, with Paris registering an increase of 0,19%, Frankfurt of 0,28%, London of 0,05% and Madrid of 0,78%.

In Piazza Affari the best stock after the first hour of trading is Mediaset, which gains 0,9%. Well also the titles of Fiat Chrysler e Atlantia. Suffers, however, the title Ps, which loses the1,49%.
