Volatile stock market: banks under fire, the Agnelli galaxy is doing well

In the middle of the day the Ftse Mib was in negative territory, after having tried to raise its head in the wake of the excellent data on Italian manufacturing and the performances of FCA, Ferrari, CNH and Exor - Among the banks, only Intesa Sanpaolo was saved after the sale of Setefi and Card for 1 billion – Other European price lists are positive – Oil down.

The day is currently characterized by volatility: the index partially restored confidence Markit PMI on the manufacturing sector, according to which Italy appears to be the best in the Eurozone in April, with the best result since December and better than France (contracting) and Germany (improving but less than expected).

The other European price lists are positive: London is closed today, Frankfurt did well on +0,8% and Paris gained 0,3%. At 12, Milan was experiencing a loss of around half a percentage point.

The best of the Ftse Mib are therefore i titles from the Agnelli galaxy: FCA leads with +3,06% after the good data on registrations in France but above all the agreement with Google for driverless cars and the communication by the company that it has taken steps, from 1 May, to early distribution to members of the ordinary shares held in Rcs. The operation also benefits the stock Rcs, which advances by more than 3,5% to 0,583 euros.

Cnh +2,24%, Ferrari +2,87, Exor +2,04%. Ferrari "continues to do well, I have no bad news": thus the president of the Cavallino, Sergio Marchionne, he responded to journalists in Turin. When asked if he will also be appointed CEO of Ferrari today, he replied: "I don't know."

Instead, almost all of them suffer banks: the worst in the middle of the day are Popolari, with losses between 3 and 4%, and Unicredit which loses 3,2%. Intesa Sanpaolo, however, was saved, +0,9% after the sale of Setefi and Intesa Sanpaolo Card to Mercury for 1 billion euros.

Energy products, above all, are also in negative territory Saipem which at midday lost over 2,5% to 0,4069 euros per share. Eni -0,7%, Tenaris -1%, Enel +0,1% is saved at 3,962 euros.

Slightly bearish trend for Petroleum, which opens the week with these values: WTI 45,54 dollars per barrel, Brent 46,89 dollars per barrel. In the morning apprehension about it Btp Bund spread, which for a moment rises above 130 basis points, and then settles back at 128 at the end of the morning. The euro strengthens against the US dollar: today it is worth 1,1479.
