Stock market: Mps flies, Telecom Italia and Fiat fall

The European stock exchanges accelerate downwards after an uncertain start - Mps shines after the Foundation announced goodbye to the 4% ceiling for the other shareholders - Telecom Italia discounts the stop to the spin-off of the network decided yesterday by the Board - Fiat weighs the new registration data.

Stock market: Mps flies, Telecom Italia and Fiat fall

After an uncertain start, the European stock exchanges have taken the downward path. They prevail the benefits after the good performance of the last few sessions. While waiting for important macroeconomic data such as the German Zew index and European and US inflation, mid-morning Milano loses about half a point. They do worse Frankfurt (-0,6%) and Paris (-0,66%). London -0,2%. 

Lo BTP-Bund spread in any case, it remains under control, falling back to 287 basis points. The euro at the opening of the day it is traded at 1,3085 dollars, against the exchange rate at 1,3065 recorded yesterday evening after the closure of Wall Street.

In Piazza Affari, for opposite reasons, the titles of Mps and Telecom Italia are highlighted, respectively the best and the worst of the Ftse Mib. 

The shares of the Sienese bank they earn over three and a half points. The Foundation decided yesterday that at the institute's assembly on July 18 it will vote in favor of canceling the statute provision which prevents other shareholders from exceeding 4% in the institute's capital. 

Telecom Italia instead leaves more than 3% in the field. The selling on the stock was triggered by the stop unbundling the network announced yesterday evening by the company at the end of an extraordinary board meeting.

"In reaffirming the importance of the project not only for Telecom Italia, but for the development of the country's telecommunications system - reads the note from Telecom -, the board of directors acknowledged that the uncertainties introduced by the recent decisions by Agcom risk compromise its feasibility. It has therefore resolved that, before proceeding to further implementation phases of the same, the consistency of the contents and of the regulatory process with the assumptions underlying the project is verified".

Fiat also suffers in Piazza Affari (-2%) after the umpteenth publication of negative data on registrations
