Stock market, Mediaset flies on Premium partner voices

It stands out in Piazza Affari Mediaset, which at the end of the morning is among the best stocks of the Ftse Mib: on an already positive day for the Milanese market, the Biscione gains more than 3%, bringing the 3 euro per share closer to 2,926 just a few minutes until midday. Mediaset is driven by the latest updates on the operation Premium Vivendi: according to some rumors reported by the press, a new partner – also in this case a TLC – could enter the Premium game, in light of the blocking situation that has arisen between the Berlusconi family company and the French group headed by to the entrepreneur Vincent Bollorè.

According to Intermente analysts "the stalemate in the negotiations between Mediaset and Vivendi makes the attempt to look for new subjects to be involved in the negotiations more likely", even if "the interest from telephone operators such as Telecom Italia and Telefonica has so far been denied". On the other hand, regarding the press hypothesis "according to which Fininvest would be willing to sell a greater share of its capital to Vivendi, given that Mediaset has repeatedly reiterated its intention to enforce the existing contract", for Intermonte this would be "little credible".
