Stock Exchange: Unicredit: stock split from today

Kicks off today grouping of Unicredit shares: one new title for every ten old ones already owned. The transaction also affects savings bonds. This morning, therefore, Unicredit restarts from the price of 6,905 euros, against 10,4 for savings. The fractions in the hands of the shareholders will be liquidated from 2 to 12 January by Banca Finnat, which received the assignment from Unicredit itself.

The new securities of the leading Italian bank are now close to 7 euros, or the price that the old Unicredits should have reached to trigger the stock options in favor of the managers. This was true, of course, before the crisis. At the opening of trading, today the Bank's stock is down by more than 1,7%.

The grouping decision was made on the eve of the next one capital increase da 7,5 billion euros that the Banca di Piazza Cordusio will have to operate at the request of the EBA. 33,6% of the share capital was present at the extraordinary shareholders' meeting in Rome and the increase was approved with 97,89% of the votes.
