After yesterday's rally (+13%), once again Telecom Italia Media shares are racing in Piazza Affari, posting an increase of more than 11 and a half points at the opening, to 0,2099 euros. The shares of the company that controls La7 are still being dragged by the rumors about the groups interested in buying the television station. The last name that emerged is that of the multinational with the largest firepower ever: the News Corporation of Rupert Murdoch, the colossus that publishes Sky.
The Italian satellite TV division signed the confidentiality letter with Mediobanca and Citigroup (TI Media advisor for the sale of La7), in order to receive the "Information memorandum" and the economic data of the group. However, the air is poisoned by the suspicion that it is not a real interest, but a tactical move to know the numbers of the competitor network.
Meanwhile, it seems now out of the game Mediaset. Silvio Berlusconi's company did not have access to the documentation: Mediobanca considered the risk of a stoppage by the Antitrust too high. Instead, he remains in the race Three Italy, of the Chinese of Hutchinson Whampoa, which however would be mainly interested in the antennas.
