Stock market: TI Media flies, waiting for the Telecom board on La7

Telecom Italia's board of directors meets today to examine, among other things, the possibility of selling the subsidiary TI Media, which this morning recorded an 8,8% increase - The Ftse Mib is falling: banks are weak, the spread rises above 280 – Euro stable – Finmeccanica positive after Siemens' offer on Ansaldo.

European stock markets weak in a session "orphaned" by Wall Street (closed for President Day) and opened by the sharp rise in the Tokyo Stock Exchange (+2% after the G20). In Milan the FtseMib index drops by 0,75%, to 16.36,7 due to sales on banks – the other European stock exchanges were also negative: London -0,1%, Paris -0,2%, Frankfurt +0,1%, Madrid falls by 1,3%. 

The deterioration also affects government bonds: the BTP is traded at a yield of 4,44%, with spread at 282, 10 basis points higher than on Friday. The euro it was substantially unchanged against the main currencies: at 1,333 against the dollar, from 1,336 on Friday evening, at 1,2317 against the Swiss franc, from 1,2316, and at 0,8625 against the British pound, from 0,8608.

Positive cue of Finmeccanica, which rises by 1% and recovers part of Friday's decline. The company has denied that the Indian government has canceled the order for the 12 helicopters the Busto Arsizio judiciary is investigating. The subsidiary Ansaldo drops by 0,41%: Siemens' offer arrived on Saturday, amounting to 1,3 billion. 

In recovery Telecom Italy (+0,65%): the Board of Directors meets today to examine, among other things, the possibility of selling the subsidiary Telecom Italy Media, which this morning marks an increase of 8,8% after the entrepreneur Diego Della Valle formalized his interest in buying the TV station La7 over the weekend, asking for time to finalize a real offer. On the table of the president of Telecom, Franco Bernabè, there are currently offers from the Clessidra fund and from the publisher Urbano Cairo, but neither of them satisfies Telecom Italia's collection expectations.

Among the banks, it goes down Unicredit (-2,04%) after Bank of America downgraded the recommendation to "neutral" from "buy". Also declining MontePaschi (-2,83%) And Understanding (-1,3%). They remain positive Mediobanca (+ 0,47%) and Pop. Milan (+1,54%). In the financial sector they also fall Generali (-0,93%), Unipol (-2,4%) And Fondiaria-Sai (-1). Among other industrial stocks, StM -0,32% and Prysmian +0,51%. Among the automotive stocks, Fiat -0,87% and Fiat Industrial -0,88%. Enel drops by 0,97%, Eni -0,6%, Saipem -1,48%.
