Sprint of Mediaset a Business Square. On a day in which - at the moment - the Ftse Mib is rather flat, the Alfa stock stands out, which just before 10 am makes a rocket start, gaining over 3%. The rally, the operators underline, is linked to the move by Telefonica, which would be ready to put 350 million on the plate to acquire from Cologno Monzese the 22% of Digital+ (the Iberian pay TV) not yet in its possession.
A figure which, proportionally, is at a premium compared to what Telefonica itself paid for 56% of Prisa, the third party present in Digital+'s shareholding structure. It is precisely these numbers, evidently advantageous for Mediaset, that push purchases on the Stock Exchange, given that if it accepted Telefonica's offer it would benefit from a substantial liquidity injection, perhaps to invest in other items.
