European stock markets rebound on the wave of good US quarterly results and the confirmation of the recovery of the Chinese economy. In Piazza Affari, the Ftse Mib index rose by 2,03% to 20837. The other European stock exchanges also rose: Paris +1,45%, Frankfurt +1,32%, London +0,94%. Madrid advances by 1,46%.

The queen of the day and the best blue chip is Telecom Italia +6,09%. The marriage between Wind and 3 Italia, respectively the third and fourth mobile operator in Italy, is back in the news: a consolidation of the market would also be positive for Telecom Italia because it would lower the level of competition, which is very high today. 

The market also likes Gtech's US bet. The company owned by the De Agostini stable rose by 5,53% after the purchase for 4,7 billion dollars (part in cash, part in shares) of IGT of Las Vegas, producer of slot machines and other gaming tools. At the end of the complex operation, in 2015, the two companies will merge to create a new company incorporated under English law. Third title on the Ferragamo catwalk +3,5% thanks to the promotion of Société Générale which raised the recommendation to Hold from Sell.

Yoox +3% confirms the positive intonation of matedì. Tod's +1,6%. Juventus reduces the damage -0,85% after the heavy fall in the opening reaction to the surprise farewell of Antonio Conte and the arrival of Massimiliano Allegri. But the real landslide concerns Rome - about -27% after a suspension. The cause of the traollo are the declarations of the assets of the Capitoline Municipality that hold back on the construction of the stadium.  

Good rise of StM +2,6%, encouraged by the growing results announced overnight by Intel, world leader in computer chips. A less agitated day for the banks despite the fact that Rioforte, the controlling holding company of Banco Espirito Santo, has not repaid a debt and is preparing to ask for receivership.

Unicredit is unchanged, on the day the offers for Uccbm expire. Intesa +1,3%, MontePaschi +0,9%, Ubi +1,9%, Banco Popolare +3%, Pop.Milano +1,3%. Generali rises by 1,1%. Positive energy and utilities: Enel gains 1,4%, A2A +2,1%, Snam +0,8%. Eni rose by 1,5% while the WTI-type Brent oil future rose to 106 dollars a barrel (+0,6%). Saipem +0,8%. Among industrial stocks, Fiat +0,3%, Finmeccanica +1,4%, Prysmian +2,9%.
