The ruling regards a dispute for some supply costs to STM's wireless joint venture between 2008 and 2009 and will weigh on the results for the first quarter of 2012: Stm estimates that it will a negative impact on the gross margin of approximately 2,6 points.

As a result of this unexpected exceptional burden the company has lowered previously announced Q30,4 guidance to approximately XNUMX%, plus or minus 1,5 percentage points. The group is now hoping for a second arbitration pending before the same court, expected in June.
