Stock market, Snam down after the sale of another 5% by Eni

Negative opening in Piazza Affari for Snam, after Eni surprisingly announced the sale of another 5% of the leading company in Italy in the transport and distribution of natural gas.

Snam loses heavily in Piazza Affari, where the group's shares drop by 3,46% in the morning, to 3,404 euros. 17 million pieces have already changed hands, compared to an average of 7,9 million in an entire session last month.

Yesterday evening, Eni (+0,91%) surprisingly announced the sale of another 5% of Snam: the package is part of the residual 20% still held by the six-legged dog after having sold 30% to CDP .

In detail, Eni announced that it has launched an accelerated bookbuilding coordinated by Goldman Sachs to place 178 million shares with a selection of Italian and foreign institutional investors.
