Two factors contribute to pushing Saipem's quotations: the creation of a joint venture with PetroChina and the rumors of a renewed interest from Rosneft.

Stock market, Saipem runs: PetroChina-Rosneft effect

Positive day a Business Square for Saipem, which recorded increases of around 2% in the late morning, ranking among the brightest stocks on the Italian list.

Above all, the announcement of the creation of a joint venture with the Chinese giant pushed the prices of the Eni subsidiary PetroChina, of which Saipem will have 49%. The new company, according to the first rumors, foresees in its business plan revenues of 700 million in the first four years, with profits of 42 million.

According to various analysts, this is very positive news for Saipem which, with this joint venture, is opening up to "a huge new potential market", a great opportunity which the group, thanks to its know-how, seems able to exploit with success.

To support the stock, however, there is also the return of the rumors that Saipem would like, the sale of which has currently been put on standby by Eni, again in the sights of Rosneft. A high-profile operation, certainly, but one that would not be frowned upon by US shareholders Dodge & Cox, who recently doubled their stake in the company to 10,423%.
