Prysmian falls in Piazza Affari. The stock of the company specializing in the production of cables lost 3,48% in the late morning, to 15,54 euros per share, making it the worst stock on the Ftse Mib.
The half-yearly accounts of the competitor Nexans, which have just been published, are dragging down the prices of the Milanese company. In the first 6 months of 2013, the French group recorded a net loss of 145 million euros, against a profit of 13 million in the first half of 2012. Sales then fell sharply, -4,6% 3,4 billion euros. All data that signal the great weakness of the sector, in a crisis that seriously threatens to involve Prysmian as well.
