The European stock exchanges weaken, held back by the deadlock in the tariff negotiations and by the crisis in Hong Kong. The EuroStoxx 50 index slows down (-0,6%), also awaiting the announcements of the US trade representative Robert Lightizer on any tariffs on the European auro. A postponement is likely, but with Donald Trump you never know. At 17pm, Fed Chairman Jerome Powell will appear before congressional committees.
