10 years after the start of the biggest post-war financial crisis, it's time to take stock of stocks too. Compared to 2007, the FtseMib is still 45% down, just as the French and Spanish stock exchanges are still in red, unlike the American, Japanese and German lists.
In Milan, the banks above all paid for the crisis, with losses which, in the case of Monte dei Paschi, are close to 100% but which have invested the entire sector, with very rare exceptions.
Sparks were seen in industry and Made in Italy instead. In 10 years, three FtseMib stocks have even achieved stellar gains such as Brembo, Recordati and Campari. According to the elaborations of the weekly "Milano Finanza", the company of Alberto Bombassei, absolute leader of the Stock Exchange for the last 10 years, from 8 August 2007 to 9 August 2017 gained 578,74%. Recordati did a little less with an increase of 526,58% but Campari also did very well (+200,84%).
Over the last decade, at least 10 other FtseMib stocks have made great leaps: primarily Terna (+96,97%), Luxottica (+87,82%), Exor (+80,42%), Azimut (+ 79,1%), Fiat Chrysler (+72,59%), Prysmian (+45,7%) and Snam (+41,8%) and to a lesser extent Banca Mediolanum (+32,32%) Atlantia (+23,54 .12%) and Stm (+15%).
Confirming the fact that for those who know how to do stock picking or rely on the right consultant, a stock investment can reserve great satisfactions.
